The expresscard slot on the Macbook Pro can be an under-utilized feature but you can put it to great use if you attach a Sandisk Expresscard to it and it will add convenience to the process of transferring your digital photos. It fits nicely into the computer and you hardly notice it’s there once installed.
It reads SD, SDHC, MMC and other card formats. It’s been a valuable tool for when I travel and it’s taken away the pain of carrying any cables or mini-card readers than can easily get lose. The specific Sandisk model I bought has been discontinued but this one fulfills the same purpose.
